Frequently Asked Questions

Our initial assessment session will be a time for us to talk deeply about your reason for seeking therapy.
I will be asking questions to better understand the pressure or stressor you’re facing—How long have you been feeling this way? How is this impacting your mental health? Relationships? How have you been coping until now?
We will also spend some time discussing your goals of therapy and what you’ll want to get out of our time together, in order to map out a a clear path for our sessions.

Currently I am providing only virtual sessions for clients residing in California.
-
Cancellations of scheduled sessions must be made at least 48 hours in advance in order to avoid a charge (session fee).
-
Many client choose to pay out-of-pocket, as it offers highest level of privacy and clinical flexibility without limitations to our sessions.
Currently I am also accepting clients with Aetna and Blue Shield insurances. Please note that using insurance for services will require a diagnosis code to be assigned.

Under the No Surprises Act, you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate that outlines the expected cost of your therapy services if you are paying out of pocket or not using insurance.
A Good Faith Estimate is intended to help you understand the anticipated costs of your care before you begin treatment. Please note that the estimate is based on the information available at the time it is provided and does not include any unexpected services or changes to your treatment plan.
If you have any questions about your Good Faith Estimate or the cost of therapy, I'm happy to discuss them with you before we begin.
